On his LinkedIn page, Gigi Dall'Igna celebrated yet another amazing result the Ducati scored at the Red Bull Ring. Three Desmosedicis on the podium and all seven on the grid, except for the eighth one, Di Giannantonio's, which wasn't present because the rider from Rome injured himself in pre-qualifying. Within the group of the top 10, were further proof of the superiority of the manufacturer from Emilia-Romagna compared to the competition.
"Another extraordinary win, and more records for the annals on a friendly track where we triumphed for the ninth time and celebrated Bagnaia's 25th success in the MotoGP. The third consecutive one here," the racing team's general manager said.
"So Pecco entered the top ten of the most successful in the category, thanks to a GP dominated from start to finish with a resounding one-two, followed by the victory in Saturday's sprint race. He proved that he knew how to handle a delicate situation related to the high temperatures, on a track where avoiding the sliptstreams is particularly relevant. After taking the lead, he kept everything under control with an impressive pace and incredible lucidity, without giving his opponents the chance to respond," he then praised the rider from Chivasso, calling him "an absolute champion."
Words of admiration also came for Jorge Martin, second at the checkered flag: "He showed his talent afte a stratospheric pole position, along with a speed and consistency that ws unapproachable for the others. He was the only one able to hold his own against Bagnaia and avoid unnecessary risks. They're thinking about the next challenge."
And while acknowledging that Enea Bastianini didn't have enough to keep up with the leading two, the engineer highlighted his good start and determination. "It was a weekend on the rise that confirmed his merits," he said, before speaking about Marc Marquez, who again struggled with a comeback.
"He had an exciting comeback, even with some regrets about his unfortunate start and the initial contact. He felt competitive as never before, and this gave us a lot of satisfaction," he considered, before concluding with Marco Bezzecchi who, according to him, performed a "breathtaking overtaking." "It's not for nothing that the four who arrived first reflect the first four positions in the championship," he concluded by thanking all those who work at Borgo Panigale.
