MotoGP, Masini: "I guarantee that Marquez will win before he leaves."

"I don't know when it's going to happen, but I'm sure of it. It's going to be the outcome of a growth process. For now, it's important for me to stay close to the best. The Red Bull Ring race? He made a mistake, but his comebacl was spectacular!"

MotoGP: Masini:

Many believe that Marc Marquez will win again ... or almost everyone. Just a few days ago, his fellow countryman, Jorge Lorenzo, said he was convinced that he'll be getting another world title and not just single race wins. Whether this will really be the case, we'll only know in 2025, or maybe later. In the meantime, some are already betting on him to win at least one GP between now and Valencia.

An Gresini Racing's team manager, Michele Masini, is one of these. In an interview with AS, e admitted that he strongly believes he'll be getting on the first step of the podium before he leaves for the official Ducati.

"I'm sure he won't leave without leaving his mark. I guarantee it. Where will it happen? I can't say, because it's going to be a result of a growth process. For now, it's crucial for him to be consistent, and he's always close to the top riders," he said.

Rewinding to the recent Austrian GP, Masini dwelt on what happened at the start, when Spanish rider failed to activate the shapeshifter. An unexpected event that made him plummet to the lower part of the group, forcing him to give life to yet another comeback.

"The mistake was clear to everyone but, in the end, you draw on the positive, because the goal must always be to progress, and that's what we're doing. Besides this detail, which  took us out from the top three, it's important we keep this kind of mentality. His comeback was spectacular. Unfortunately, the incident and the contact with Morbidelli cost us positions, but the pace he kept was impressive," he analyzed.

Fourth at the finish, the champion from Cervera, in spite of the hiccups - including a tire valve failure before the start - once again demonstrated what he's made of. "He was fast all weekend. I'd say at the level of the best. Although we still lack something to catch up with them, it's important to have finished well, so we can continue in the same direction in Aragon," he concluded.
