MotoGP, Savadori: "I look forward to hearing Martin and Bezzecchi's opinion."

"I'm curious to compare myself with them. My race? The Red Bull Ring is always hostile for us, and some of the solutions we tried didn't give a good response. The speed record? I surprised the other Aprilia riders."

MotoGP: Savadori:

Twentieth at the checkered flag in the Austrian GP, Lorenzo Savadori ended his weekend as an Aprilia wild card, satisfied with the sensations he felt riding the lab bike even if he was aware of the shortcomings they still have in the direct confrontation with the Ducati, which is definitely out of reach for any manufacturer, to date.

"All in all, it was a positive weekend in which we tried interesting things," he began. "In the GP. we tried some solutions that didn't go very well and still need a few more laps, but we knew that. However, my pace wasn't bad. Without those problems, I could've gotten a fourteenth or fifteenth place. Let's say we had some good responses, some less so, also in light of the fact that the Red Bull Ring proved to be tough for us. So it's going to be important to continue working on less friendly tracks, such as those where there's less grip, rather than where there are strong decelerations and where we restart at low-speeds, something we've been focusing on for some time."

So many riders who are on the Noale team now will be leaving at the end of the season. This is a factor that could affect the work. "Not really, because any update provided to the officials first goes through the test team, and what's promoted is used, ninety-nine percent of the time, so the method remains the same. Part of the focus is still dedicated to 2024. There are still lots of races to go till the end, and part is already in the future," the rider from Cesena denied.

As was already mentioned, there are going to be new additions to the team in the upcoming year, such as Bezzecchi and Martin, as well as the rookie, Ogura. "I'm very happy and curious to hear their opinion when they try the bike the first time. In recent yearsl we've made sure to make the RS-GP easier to ride than when I took it over in 2020. And we've patiently succeeded," he said, before joking about the record of 317 km/h set at the Austrian track.

"The other riders of the brand asked me if I did the corner. Obviously, since it's an experimental bike, we're also working on speed and, so far, it has given a good response. What caused the increase in power? At an aerodynamic level, we couldn't touch anything, I'd say a mix of engine and electronics," he concluded.
