What could be better than ending a MotoGP race weekend with a nice glass of Prosecco DOC? Probably nothing, so here's our very own legend, Carlo Pernat's commentary on the Austrian Grand Prix, which saw Pecco Bagnaia dominate 360°, yielding only the pole position to Jorge Martìn. In the world championship now Pecco is ahead, but there are many races left to run and until Valencia it will be a very close confrontation. Here are Carlo's words.

"I would say that this is to be considered Pecco Bagnaia's Grand Prix. He certainly gave one more demonstration, for those few who still wanted one, that he is the most complete rider of all and there is nothing to be done about that. Two world championships in MotoGP, and he's leading this one. He hammers away and doesn't miss a beat, if someone gets close he pulls away. You can never beat him, he is in an incredible state of form.

A complete rider in the face of all those who thought he was not. He is and he is a great champion. All credit also to Ducati because - I think it is the case but I want to verify it - if it does another podium lock-out, it would beat Honda's record in 500GP, something historic, all deserved. In today's race Martìn did what he could. At one point Bagnaia even increased his lead and Jorge rightly saw that Pecco had more than him and stayed put.

Well done Bastianini, a good podium for him with some bike problems. This morning he was not convinced he could go fast but he made a good start and because of that he was convinced. Riders are like that, when they are convinced they ride over problems. A great race by Marquez, who started way behind and made a great comeback. He was lapping very strong, but he didn't have the pace that the first two had. He probably would have fought it out with Bastianini, although in my opinion Enea had a higher pace today.

What else to say, KTM was racing at home and at least did something. All in all, Binder and Miller were in the first positions of the rest, that is, the mere mortals. Miller also flew, Binder made a good result but it is certainly not the kind of result KTM expected, also because Pedro Acosta continues to have problems despite the fact that at the beginning of the season he showed something more.

A little bit of disappointment from Aprilia, because I think it's a matter of the riders, the bike in my opinion is there. It took pole at Silverstone, but then in the race they disappear. This is maybe justifiable for Aleix Espargaró who is stopping at the end of the year, but it is less justifiable for Vinales who should also show something more since he goes to KTM next year. About Yamaha and Honda it is pointless to talk about them, they are always at the same level. Yamaha will probably also do something better, but at the moment we can really see very little. While Honda is disappearing more and more.

The world championship is being fought out by Bagnaia and Martìn, although Bastianini's advantage is not that much since there are so many races. However, here I saw a very strong Marquez, so in my opinion the podiums from here on will be played out by the four of them, Bagnaia, Martìn, Bastianini and Marquez. I don't see any other riders able to beat them, especially the first two. I would say that's about it, Bagnaia absolutely and totally dominates together with Ducati."
