SBK, Huertas' dilemma: his future in Superbike goes through Iannone

Adrian has been clear about wanting to race in the Superbike next year. Go Eleven is his first choice pending Andrea's decision, but not the only solution.

SBK: Huertas' dilemma: his future in Superbike goes through Iannone

August is an incandescent month for the Superbike, to say the least. From here to Magny-Cours, most of the upcoming World Championship will be defined in view of 2025. If Barni is ready to determine Montella's move alongside Petrucci, there's a problem to be resolved in Aruba-Feel Racing related to Adrian Huertas.

In Portimão, the Spanish rider made it clear that his goal for 2025 is to race in the Superbike. As of today, the Iberian rider has a two-year contract with Aruba that expires in 2026. However, there's no clause in the contract that implies a jump to the top class if he wins the title.

Obviously, Cecconi and Casolari would like to promote their protégé to the Superbike, and the most viable route would be getting him to Go Eleven, should Andrea Iannone decide to marry new projects next season.

But everything depends on what the rider from Vasto will decide. If he stays, the Ducati V4 would be occupied.

In recent weeks, the possibility of fielding a third Panigale V4, alongside Bautista and Bulega, has also been considered but, unless there are resounding surprises, to date, this seems to be a road unlikely to be taken.

Aruba and Feel Racing are, therefore, looking around and hope to find a possible Ducati satellite team willing to marry the project. Otherwise, Huertas would risk another year in the SSP or would be freed of his contract, allowing his manager to find him the solution that suits him best.

This is definitely one of the problems that need to be resolved in the Superbike by mid-August.
