SBK, Iannone: "I was having fun in the race. I'm missing something for the podium."

A fall ruins Andrea's comeback: "Unfortunately, I couldn't get a good lap in qualifying, but I found a decent pace during the race."

SBK: Iannone:

Saturday in Portimao was a bitter aftertaste for Andrea Iannone. The Maniac was forced to raise the white flag in Race 1, following a fall. His front closed at Turn 1, which cost the Go Eleven rider dearly, therefore, ending his comeback.

If, on the one hand, he's disappointed, on the other, the driver from Vasto tried to see the glass half full: "In qualifying, we didn't manage to get a good lap," he said. "The superpole and race ine, however, were useful to start getting references."

It was too bad that his comeback then ended early: "Despite the complexity of the track, I was having fun during the race, and our pace was decent. It was too bad about the fall. We're definitely missing something to get to podium level. Tomorrow we'll try to do our best, hoping to recuperate some positions from the start."
