Once again Ducati made all the difference. On the Silverstone track the winner was Bastianini who repeated the result of the Sprint Race, putting an end to a not particularly glorious period for him.
Decidedly satisfied with the outcome of the race, boss Davide Tardozzi also celebrated for the domination of the brand.
"Finally Enea got 2023 out of the way, so now he has the right attitude to do what his talent allows him to do. I think he will be among the contenders for the title. As a team it's nice to have both riders in contention," he said speaking exclusively to GPOne.
Between the current championship leader Martin and the Romagnolo there are 49 points at stake. "There are still 370 to play for ," he added, highlighting how everything is still open.
Regarding what he liked most about the Rimini rider, the Rossa manager said, "I appreciated his attitude from Friday morning. Before he was not convinced about the bike and did not smile, here he appeared calm and very confident."
While Bestia won, Bagnaia for his part did a bit of calculating for once: "When you're fighting for the World Championship you always have to try to bring home the maximum possible and today for him it was third place. He experienced a major drop in the rear tire, then he forced on the front so he risked crashing a couple of times and then he preferred to settle for the result."
The British round ended with five Desmosedicis ahead of everyone and eight in the top 10 despite the Long Lap Penalty. "This gives us great pleasure. It's a thank you to those from home and who are working hard to allow us to do this. We can enjoy a great team both on the track and at Borgo Panigale," he finally considered.
