MotoGP, Bezzecchi: "I could no longer feel my foot in the last laps."

"The tingling kept me from realizing how much brake I was using. It was hard, but I suffered more at other times. Worried about Austria? I don't think anything is broken. Morbidelli? He apologized."

MotoGP: Bezzecchi:

Marco Bezzecchi was 8th at the finish line, just over 14" behind the winner, Bastianini. All in all, it was a positive weekend for him at Silverstone, characterized by Morbidelli's accident in the early stages of the Sprint Race.

"Yesterday, the only positive thing is that I didn't have to do interviews,"  the VR46 Racing rider said, ironically. "After what happened to me, I didn 't know if Iìd be able to race. But, when I came out of the medical center, the thought was just that, link I think it would be for any colleague."

Regarding his own physical condition, the rider from Romagna confided, "This morning, I expected worse and, instead, I was more or less like Saturday afternoon, and that was good. In the warm up, however, I struggled because I hadn't taken painkillers intentionally, to try to figure out how I was. It was tough, but I've suffered more on other occasions."

During the GP the sensations were different: "At the beginning ,with the adrenaline and painkillers, I didn't feel anything while, in the last six or seven laps I had no feeling in both my foot and my leg. It was complicated with the rear brake. I didn't realize how much I was using it because I was tingling. Am I worried about Austria? From the x-ray, you can see a mark on a bone in my foot. According to the doctors, it's probably not a fracture. However, the pain is there, and it swelled and turned black."

Finally, on the incident the day before, he said, "Franco came to see me while I was getting treatment. He apologized and admitted the mistake. I just told him to brake slower on the first lap."
