MotoGP, Quartararo: "The new parts brought by Yamaha did not work."

"I expected much more with the new components instead we are far away. I feel at the limit everywhere with the Yamaha and I'm slow."

MotoGP: Quartararo:

It is a bitter Fabio Quartararo the one at the end of Friday. The Frenchman is in fact 16th in the standings more than a second behind the top. At Silverstone, Yamaha had brought some new parts, but for now the fruits of what was sown have not yet been seen, and he admits it without mincing words.

"Unfortunately we are a long way off," he began, " I have no explanation for that even though I expected improvements with the new things we brought here at Silverstone. So we will have to analyze and figure out how to move for tomorrow."

What is not working?
"I feel on the limit at every point. The problem is that we are a second slower and I am aware of our difficulties. We are trying to work to solve all our problems."

You certainly had quite different ambitions on Thursday.
"Yesterday I certainly expected more, but unfortunately the new parts did not work and I am disappointed. We need to do a lot more laps to figure out how to improve and try to close the gap from our rivals."

How come you are slower than Rins in terms of speed?
"That I don't know. Maybe he took advantage of the slipstream of some riders. The fact is that it depends on the tracks, since in some you interpret the layout differently."

Have you thought about going back to the old M1 configuration?
"I don't know yet. For my part, it is difficult to keep jumping from one bike to another without being able to get a clear idea. In fact, the priority is to get clear feedback and then maximize the work on the bike."
