The Misano round overturned the hierarchies of the world championship battle with Toprak and BMW ahead of everyone. After the hat-trick of wins for the Turkish rider on the Adriatic Riviera, Ducati thought it best to take remedial action and roll up its sleeves.
Precisely for this reason, they have been working hard in Borgo Panigale in recent weeks to revive their ambitions in the title race. According to what we have learned, at Donington the Rossa will in fact sport a new lowered exhaust compared to the current version. In fact, efforts have been made to work on the weight by making it lighter.
Not only that, given the layout of the very driven Donington track, the exhaust should provide more torque and explosiveness in the mixed sections in order to close the gap from BMW. Among other new features, a revised tank will be brought to the track in the UK as well as the seat, which will have a lowered seat in comparison to previous rounds.
The list of innovations doesn't end there however, because among many things there will also be a new swingarm, the purpose of which is to work on the stiffnesses and try and stress the rear less. We will almost certainly not see the swingarm at Donington because it will be necessary to wait until early August with the Portimao round.
However, one thing is certain: Ducati is doing everything it can to help its riders in the title race against Toprak and BMW.
