Toprak and the MotoGP: the possible arrival of the Turkish rider in the other paddock is one of the top issues. Kenan initially expressed himself on the issue through our colleagues at Speedweek. Now, the person who's directly involved has also come out in the open.
In fact, the current World Championship leader recently spoke with our colleagues at Motorsport.com and clarified the issue: "I always make decisions with Kenan," he said. "Like many people know, I've started thinking about the MotoGP. In time, we'll see whether it's going to be possible as early as this year or in 2026. There are teams I'm meeting with and talking to."
Toprak is clear about what he thinks: "We want to go next year, otherwise, we'll try again for 2026. Within a week, the situation will be clear. I'm aware that BMW isn't happy, and I can understand why. But, for my career, it's best if I to go to the MotoGP as soon as possible."
One thing is certain: Toprak wants the MotoGP. Of course, he'll have to come to terms with BMW's opinion but, above all, he'll have to understand what valid and concrete possibilities exist, since the field seems to be getting narrower and narrower.
