SBK: National Trophy: Luca Salvadori wins big in wet conditions at Mugello

Luca Salvadori's consecutive successes in the National Trophy 1000 are now a total of three, thanks to his win today on the wet asphalt at Mugello. Nine laps of the race dominated by the Milanese rider and YouTuber, who passed under the checkered flag with a lead of over 15" on Filippo Rovelli, first of the pursuers both in the race and in the championship standings, where he has a delay of 24 lengths from the leader, at the top with full points.

It was a real show of strength for the poleman, who proved to be a winner with the Broncos Racing team's Ducati Panigale V4R, even in wet conditions, redeeming a suboptimal start with two decisive overtakes against Alessandro Andreozzi and the rider from the Pistard team, allowing him to take the lead from the first lap of the race. He then flew undisturbed towards his success, celebrating under the checkered flag.

There was no match for the victory, and the fight for the podium was much more open, with Andreozzi taking the lowest step after overtaking Gabriele Ruiu at the second to last lap, thanks to a great recovery in the finale. Fighting for 3rd place until the third passage, Riccardo Morelli had to settle for 5th place ahead of Alex Schacht and Remo Castellarin, 7th after an excellent first part of the race.

Alessandro Arcangeli also had a good race, coming in 8th at the finish line on the 322 Racing Service team's BMW and also deemed best of the Fast Experience riders, ahead of Luigi La Placa, who completed the top ten with Francesco Ciacci. Instead, an unfortunate Flavio Ferrori's race ended with a highside, when he was launched from his Aprilia at the Casanova-Savelli during the first part of the race.
