SBK, No official BMW for Iannone, van der Mark confirmed with Toprak

The Munich-based manufacturer has renewed its confidence in the Dutch rider for next season as well, and for Andrea the possibility of riding the M 1000 RR factory fades away

SBK: No official BMW for Iannone, van der Mark confirmed with Toprak

The Misano weekend has just ended, but the market is not standing idle. In fact, the news came this morning that BMW has renewed its contract with Michael van der Mark for 2025. The Dutch rider will therefore be a fixed partner with Toprak, as a result renewing the pairing seen to date.

Among the rumours circulating in the paddock was also Andrea Iannone, but apparently the possibility of seeing The Maniac on the official German bike has faded.

"We are very pleased to have Toprak Razgatlioglu and Michael van der Mark, two absolute top riders, in our factory team for the 2025 Superbike World Championship," said Marc Bongers, BMW Motorrad Motorsport Sport Director, " Both have proved in recent years that they belong to the best and will form a powerful duo on our BMW M 1000 RR next season.”

For his part Van der Mark said: “I am very, very happy and honoured to continue with BMW. I am really happy that especially after the two difficult years they still have the trust in me and I think that this year’s results are showing improvements. I’m really happy with how the team’s working, how the BMW M 1000 RR is working and how we are still improving it. So it’s fantastic to be able to stay. This also gives me a lot of confidence for the rest of the season. I’m ready to keep building our momentum and be even more ready for next year.”
