As Alberto Vergani had anticipated, Axel Bassani will continue with Kawasaki Racing Team, along with his current teammate, Alex Lowes, also in 2025, with the new Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team project.
The rider from Feltre finalized an agreement for next season during his home round at the Misano World Circuit "Marco Simoncelli", therefore, ensuring continuity for the new Bimota initiative, with Kawasaki Racing Team, and a new technical package and new partners.
"What better place than Misano to announce my continuation with the team and my involvement in a project that combines the skills and commitment of both Japan and Italy! As part of my personal journey in racing, this will help me learn more and grow as a rider," Bassani commented. "It's definitely a logical and gradual process for my career path. I'm very happy with this opportunity that, in terms of confidence and focus for the rest of 2024, allows me to invest all my time and energy in winning points and podiums riding the KRT Ninja ZX-10RR."
Regarding your continuation with Axel, KRT's Team Manager, Guim Roda, also gave his opinion: "We've extended our long-term agreement with Axel because he has one-hundred percent met the expectations we had for him. He proved his potential in quality details during the first races of the 2024 season. We're committed to providing him with the what he needs to consolidate his potential. At the same time, he'll improve and understand how to ride a bike that's very different that what he was used to in the past.
