SBK: Bimota by Kawasaki ahead of everyone, securing Alex Lowes for 2025

The market is ready to get into full swing, and there's already a surprise ahead. Bimota by KRT announced the big news. Guim Roda, KRT's team manager, has announced that they've decided to renew their trust in the British rider for 2025. While everyone was waiting for Bautista's renewal, the first market move was made.

Alex is definitely satisfied: "I believe this opportunity has come at the right time. Along with Bimota, Kawasaki is putting huge effort into this new project.  Utilizing Kawasaki’s nearly forty years of Superbike racing knowledge and success, and also my personal experience with different manufacturers, I believe this gives us the best chance to start from the best possible position with the new bike. I've proven that I'm still improvingm and still fast and competitive in the WorldSBK. A big thank you to KMC, Bimota  and Provec Racing for the faith they've shown in me. I’m happy to continue to be part of our racing family! I’m enjoying my racing a lot, and we still have a lot to focus on during 2024. We had a nice start to the season with a couple of race victories, but now our focus is on Misano. It’s a track I really like. We had a test here recently, and I felt strong on the bike. We work hard, and we'll see what results we can get this weekend. Arigato, grazie mille, muchas gracias and thank you!"

Guim Roda followed: "With Alex, we're on a great journey. We started during Covid, in a difficult season for him to get into a racing rhythm and, in '21 and '22, he suffered from various injuries that didn't allow him to show his true potential. But, in those years, he still demonstrated  his speed and other qualities. Now it's time to take consistency to a new level. Lately, the limitations of the regulations haven't allowed us to use the full potential of our ZX-10RR, but we got the chance to improve some areas of the bike this season, and that definitely helped Alex. He has a very good mentality and has become a good ambassador for Kawasaki. For next season, we want to continue to have a solid team, and we have challenges to face with the BbKRT project, so we need all our best tools to do well. We're really happy that Alex has decided to continue working with us despite other offers. We can certainly now move forward, focus on finishing the 2024 season, and start making history in 2025."
