MotoGP: Yamaha back on track in Valencia with Quartararo and Rins

The long three-week break from the busy MotoGP calendar, caused by the postponement of the Kazakhstan GP, convinced Yamaha to perform a two-day test in Valencia yesterday and today, because of the time they wasted during the wet test after the Mugello GP.

"We had many parts to test, but we couldn't do it. The weather didn't help us," Quartararo said on Monday from Mugello, after a test during which he came in 14th after only about 15 laps. Rins did better, in 7th.

"It was a shame we couldn't ride on the dry, because we had some new things to test. But we made the most of the wet conditions. I did a lot of laps, in order to understand the traction control and reduce slipping when exiting corners, and we figured some things out. Notwithstanding the rain, it was a positive test."

It was a pity that on the first day the rain once again disrupted the Iwata factory's plans and they were only able to complete a few laps.
