MotoGP, Di Giannantonio: "I have two paths to choose for my future, one is to stay"

""I think the improvements are evident, and I've achieved a very good performance level this year. Getting on the podium at Mugello would be really nice."

MotoGP: Di Giannantonio:

The top five in Barcelona was his best performance since the start of the season to date, so Fabio Di Giannantonio is psyched for the Mugello GP, with the goal of confirming his recent progress with the GP23. He's confident but, above all, he wishes to aim for a great result in his home race.

"We started out well this year. We're confident and are trying to do our best," he said. "Unfortunately, I lose too much time during the first laps, but we're close to the fastest riders. Now we're here at Mugello. it's a special race for us Italians, and it would be nice to get on the podium."

How much have you progressed this season?
"I think the improvements have been evident, and I've reached a very good performance level this year. I've worked a lot on this aspect. I'm really confidence with the team, because there are very good people there. They're helping me, and I'm working for the future with the intent to progress, and I'd like to have an official bike so I can play on a level playing field with the others."

What can you tell us about 2025?
"Right now, I'm working on two paths. One of them is to continue with Pertamina VR46. It's still early to say what I'll do, but we'll know everything later on."

What are your thoughts bout Enea's penalty in Barcelona?
"We talked about it after the race, and something like that already happened in Le Mans. When they give you a penalty like that, it's not the best. It would be nice if the teams or the riders could talk to the stewards right away, so they could reach a fairer decision. But, at the moment, this is the regulation, and you have to accept it."
