SBK: Ponziani makes the tricolor shine in Cremona, Carrasco 2nd, Sanchez 5th

The tests reserved for the Women's World Championship came to life today in Cremona. The championship is scheduled in less than a month in Misano for the Superbike round. Thanks to the improved weather conditions, the riders were able to start pushing with the Yamaha R7 and, consequently, their times were lower than yesterday.

Roberta Ponziani's time is proof of this: the fastest of all with two rounds still to go until the end of Friday. The MotoXRacing rider is, in fact, dictating the pace on the Lombardy track thanks to a time of 1'42"438, ahead of Ana Carrasco by a good six tenths, the best yesterday with the Evan Bros. Yamaha. The Czech rider, Ourednickova, took third place, followed by Michel. The latter more than a second away from the top.

There are then signs of recovery from two of the most awaited Spanish r ider, namely, Sara Sanchez and Neila Santos, 5th and 6th, respectively, while the South African, Howden, is 8th. Dobbs out of the top ten, and Chun Mei Liu 14th.

The day ends at 4:40 pm.
