MotoGP, Acosta: "Martin deserves an official Ducati, I don't think Marquez will come to KTM"

"Binder already has a contract for next year and I am calm about my future. The crash? I lifted up too late and in order not to hit Aleix I ended up on the ground."

MotoGP: Acosta:

It was a Sunday with a bitter aftertaste at Le Mans for Pedro Acosta. In fact, for the first time in the season the Spaniard did not see the checkered flag, because he was the victim of a crash at the moment when he had managed to overtake Fabio Di Giannantonio.

The regret is great, but at the same time there is an awareness of the potential expressed after a complicated start to the weekend.

Before talking about his performance, Acosta is asked who he thinks deserves the official bike alongside Bagnaia next year.

"I think it's an easy choice. If I had to decide it myself, I would choose a rider first in the World Championship with 40 points."

So the answer is clear and it is Jorge Martin. He then spoke about his day.
"For the first time over the weekend, this was the first time I had the bike ready to win. This morning we made a set-up change because of the problem resulting from the vibration and I felt strong. Unfortunately, however, I crashed and I'm disappointed about that."

Pedro explained the mistake.
"Di Giannantonio and Aleix were fighting each other and they were on the right side of the track. Apparently they braked too early and I inserted myself. The fact is that in order not to hit Espargarò I had to lift off harder than I should have and ended up on the ground. In the end that's what happened, too bad."

His disappointment was plain for all to see.
"It hurts me not to have picked up points. Also last year I screwed up at Le Mans. I don't know if it's down to the track or me, but sometimes that's the way things go (smiles). Obviously we will try to do our best in Barcelona."

One last consideration concerns the possible arrival of Marc Marquez at KTM.
"I don't think so, because Brad Binder has a contract for next year as well. Maybe it is a possibility, since it is talked about all over the world, but I am tranquil about it."
