The big day has arrived. On October 24th, Ducati announced its new cross adventure, focusing on a test rider who needs no introduction: Tony Cairoli. After his time with KTM, the nine-time World Champion has, in fact, decided to leave his role as Team Manager for the Austrian constructor and embrace the Borgo Panigale constructor's project.
Today, in Sicily, Patti’s rider will make his debut on the 450, with the aim of contributing to the development project. Tomorrow, however, he’ll be joined by Alessandro Lupino. The cross-country project is definitely ambitious, and the proof is in the fact that they’ve focused on a great champion like Tony Cairoli and the experience he has.
At the moment, Ducati’s off-road plans haven’t yet been announced, but the debut should take place in the Italian Prestige 2024, as they aim to land in the MXGP World Championship in 2025.
