MotoGP, Vinales on Acosta's debut on a Yamaha R1 M: "his lines are perfect"

It is no mystery that, especially in Spain, Pedro Acosta is seen as the ideal successor to Marc Marquez. Here is what Javi Martinez says about him on twitter.

"I'll leave you with an exclusive image and anecdote from 2020, it's the first time Pedro Acosta tried a big bike, specifically a Yamaha R1M that I owned. I was with Maverick Viñales that day watching him on the track at the Cartagena circuit, and he asked me, "Is this your first time on a 1,000?" to which I replied, "Yes." "Well, the lines are perfect," Maverick affirmed.

That day, in 10 laps, he was just over a second behind Maverick.... I already knew what he was capable of and that's why I was insisting with Albert Valera.... You will find out the rest."

This year Acosta is fighting with Tony Arbolino for the Moto2 title and next year he will ride for KTM.
