Moto2, Giannini on track with Forward at Silverstone: a wildcard for him in Misano

The winner of the 2022 National Trophy, with the BMW from Gianluca Galesi's Pistard team, Gabriele Giannini, will test the Forward team's Moto2 at Silverstone tomorrow. An idea born during a live broadcast by blogger Gianluigi Ragno. A sign of the times, given that young fans seem to follow more broadcasts on the Internet than TV itself.

"Our intention would be to have him do a wild card during the Misano GP," Cuzari said. "But we’re taking this test very calmly. Giannini knows neither the bike, nor the tires, nor the track. We’ve prepared a motorcycle from scratch for him. No pressure, Gabriele just has to think about riding and gaining confidence."

As you may recall, Giannini had recently turned down a proposal from the Kawasaki Puccetti team, in order to make his Superbike debut with the Kawasaki. Gabriele is a rider without a suitcase, but he has already shown he’s going strong and deserves a chance to get out of the confines of the National.

The Forward-Triumph has a mixed aluminium-tube frame built by the Swiss factory.
