Pol Espargarò is finally ready to race again. After getting back on his GasGas a few weeks ago at the Goodwood Festival, he’ll be competing at Silverstone, since he passed the required medical check-up on Thursday. This means the end of a very difficult period for the Spanish rider, which began with the terrible accident in Portimão, where he was seriously injured.

But now his physical condition will allow him to ride a MotoGP, and he’ll be able to better understand what his level is in England.

I’m really happy to finally have the opportunity to come back after this difficult time,” Pol said. “I’ve worked like I never had in my life to get to this day, and being at Silverstone for me is already a great prize. I know that I’ll have to be patient, and that it’ll take time to be at my best again, both with the bike and physically. But I’m full of energy in facing this challenge.
