SBK: It's not always just sports: charity auction for Emilia Romagna

All sports know how to excite and touch people’s hearts, but they also knows how to take action and repay that affection when needed. That’s why the WorldSBK launched a special auction to support the victims of the floods in Emilia-Romagna. On Tuesday, July 4th, a special fund raising auction began for the communities affected by the floods that devastated the Emilia-Romagna region in May.

Hosted on charitystars.comthe auction will last until Saturday, July 15th, coinciding with the start of Race 1 of the Imola Prometeon Italian Round, where the WorldSBK riders will resume their exciting battles on the track. The auction is the latest of a series of initiatives promoted by the Motor Valley and WorldSBK communities, which began last month during the Pirelli Emilia-Romagna Round held at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Many teams and riders from the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship have generously donated a series of autographed items, including personal equipment and motorcycle parts, which will undoubtedly bring joy to WorldSBK fans and collectors. Among the most sought-after collectibles up for grab are a helmet autographed by 2021 World Champion Toprak Razgatlioglu, the fairings of the Ducati Panigale V4Rs ridden by Danilo Petrucci and Axel Bassani, and a host of other noteworthy pieces.

WorldSBK fans are invited to start bidding now on charitystars.com. All proceeds from the auction will go to the fund that has been set up by the Emilia-Romagna Regional Civil Protection Agency. Those who participate in the auction will have a unique opportunity to support the ongoing recovery efforts and make a difference in the lives of thos who have been tragically affected by the floods in Emilia-Romagna.

Emilia Romagna and the Civil Protection Agency have activated a fundraiser to which the initiative is linked, in order to support the population and communities in Emilia-Romagna that have been devastated by floods and landslides following the extreme adverse weather conditions that affected the region in May 2023.

Donations can be made payable to the bank account of the “Agenzia per la sicurezza territoriale e la protezione civile dell’Emilia-Romagna”  (or “Agenzia regionale Sic.T. Protezione civile Emilia Romagna”) through a bank transfer using the following bank details:
