MotoGP, Quartararo: “I’m already at the limit, the Yamaha is super nervous”

Fabio Quartararo ends his Friday in Assen with a 6th time in the combined. An undoubtedly encouraging start for the French rider, even if he prefers to keep his feet firmly on the ground, considering how things have been going in the last few races.

That’s precisely why the vice-World Champion tried to appease an easy enthusiasm from the start.

“Today went well. The problem is that tomorrow and after, the others always progress,” he began. “The strategy is always the same, that is, to try and push to the max so that we can get a good qualification before of the Sprint Race. The problem is that we’re already at the limit, and this is the most worrying aspect.”

The "Devil" was clear in his statements.
“Here, in Assen, I’ve always been fast, and I’ll try to be fast tomorrow. The problem is that, in the straight, when I open the throttle, the M1 tends to move a lot. We’ll see where we are on Saturday.”

He then spoke about his health.
“I’m afraid that the problem with my foot may arise during the race. I took painkillers this afternoon. I tried to ride in a different way, because the pain increased in left-hand corners. So I tried to compensate with my arms, and it was challenging.”

In all this, Fabio was asked if Jack Miller was angry with him in his recent statements: “I wouldn’t know. Even if he was talking about me, personally, I don’t care. I don’t want to spend energy on that,” he replied.

Lastly, he spoke about the rear wings on the M1.
“We tried these wings and the sensations are quite similar. Our bike is super nervous and moves a lot. This is one of our problems.”
