It won’t be his home race, but it’s definitely going to be a special round for his team. Maverick Viñales wants to delight Aprilia, and Mugello could be that great opportunity that he’s seeking. But it’s not going to be easy.
“The three-week break was useful,” he began. “We got the chance to better understand all aspects of the bike and understand how to improve. This is an important round, as are all the other races, but we know we can fight for the top positions, and we have to do it.”
Maverick can’t wait and is ready to face the challenge.
“I never stopped during these past twenty days, and I’m ready. I believe that the Aprilia can be competitive on every track, and we have to get the most out of it.”
He also talked about Andrea Iannone, who’s working to get back on track.
“Andrea has talent, and you don’t lose that, even if you stop for four years. Obviously, the moment he returns to the track he’ll struggle, but I expect him to be fast when he returns.”
