Moto2: Dalla Porta finds a seat for next three GPs in the Forward team

Lorenzo Dalla Porta has just ended his relationship with the SAG team, but has already found an opportunity to participate in the next three Grands Prix: at Mugello, Sachsenring and Assen. The Tuscan rider will race for the Forward team as a replacement for Alex Escrig, who injured his right shoulder during the Jerez tests last March.

The Spanish rider, after further medical tests, decided to continue his recovery with the aim of getting back on the bike at the Silverstone GP. Dalla Porta will take his place, and he will find Marcos Ramirez in the garage, already his teammate in Moto3 in 2019, the year in which Lorenzo won the World Championship.

Giovanni Cuzari, patron of the team, declared: “I am sorry and close to Alex for the situation he is experiencing, and we are experiencing. We believe in him very much and for this reason we agree to wait for his full recovery. Obviously, I'm delighted that Lorenzo is wearing our colours for this new challenge, and I really believe in his speed".

Lorenzo Dalla Porta said: “I am very happy with this opportunity, and I thank Team Forward for welcoming me as part of the team for the next three races. I am very curious to try this new bike and I will definitely give my best. I am pumped up to start as early as Mugello.”
