At first, Luca Marini and Alex Marquez didn’t seem to have suffered serious consequences after their accident during the Le Mans Grand Prix. The impact was violent, with Alex hitting the VR46-team rider, since he wasn’t able to dodge Luca. Marco Bezzecchi was between the two at the time. However, while the Bez managed to change trajectory to avoid his teammate, Alex’s view was blocked by Marco who preceded him, so he wasn’t able to prevent crashing into Marin’s Ducati.
After a few days, Luca’s right wrist started hurting and, following several check-ups, Dr. Luigi Tarallo came to the unhappy conclusion. The accident resulted in an injury to the trapezium bone of Luca’s right wrist, and he’ll have to undergo other visits to make sure he is healing properly. Fortunately, Marini’s participation in the Italian GP at Mugello isn’t at risk.
