And so the tests on Monday at the Jerez circuit have also concluded. The 'winners' of the day are the two VR46 riders, Bezzecchi and Marini, Quartararo third.

Interest surrounded the new chassis tested by Honda, which has been struggling since the start of the championship, even if the results weren't that encouraging: Mir crashed after just one lap, and the second bike had technical problems. Things were no better for Bradl, who also ended up in the gravel.

It didn't go much better for Yamaha. Quartararo rejected the new aerodynamics and tested the new Akrapovic twin exhaust. The chassis, on the other hand, seemed to have potential but it's too early to know. Fabio's words, in fact, seemed to indicate another line to follow:

"I dream of a bike I can ride like Binder rides his KTM".

Speaking of KTM, there was a lot of interest about a certain riding style, which Binder made his own with excellent results. Miller with his usual verve then commented how his past in Ducati did not allow him to have a 'free' riding style by sliding the bike, as the KTM bike seems to allow instead.

Over at Ducati, Bagnaia returned to the penalty he suffered in the race on Sunday, with the tests concluded after 40 laps focused on set-up. Pecco complained about how excessive penalties can negatively affect the MotoGP show:

"Even though I'm young, I've been racing for 19 years. There have always been contacts, in the past we can remember the big passes on the last corner, if we continue along this path, we risk distorting MotoGP".

Words that have a certain importance in the light of the current MotoGP where overtaking has gradually become increasingly difficult and risky.

The last topic and news of the day was the tests on radio communications between race direction and riders, which involved some riders including Folger, Quartararo, and Aleix Espargarò. At present, these would be pre-recorded one-way messages, aimed at improving safety conditions on the track.
