MotoGP: Le Mans at risk for Oliveira, Savadori on the Aprilia RNF in the tests

Fate has not been smiling too kindly on Miguel Oliveira, back in the infirmary after an accident in which he was blamelessly involved. At Portimao he was hit by Marc Marquez and forced to miss the GP of Argentina, yesterday, at Jerez, he was hit by Quartararo. In the crash, the Portuguese rider dislocated his left shoulder.

RNF team manager Wilco Zeelenberg updated us on his condition: “He doesn't have any serious injuries, but his shoulder came out of its seat and the doctors fixed it. In these cases, you have to rest for a couple of weeks.”

Which means that Miguel may not race at Le Mans. “It's possible he won't be able to,” Wilco confirmed.

For today's tests in Jerez, Aprilia have made a last-minute call-up to Lorenzo Savadori, who will ride Oliveira's RS-GP. Should the team decide to replace him in the French GP, the Noale-based test rider will be available.
