MotoGP, Bezzecchi plays the numbers game: statistics and curiosities after the GP of Argentina

Marco joins the club of riders who have won in all classes, Alex Marquez in that of riders on the podium with different bikes. A record also for Zarco: he is the rider with the most podiums and no wins in MotoGP

119 – Marco Bezzecchi is the 119th different premier class winner and 34th in the MotoGP™ era since 2002.

26 – Bezzecchi is the 26th different Italian rider to win in the premier class. Between them, the 26 riders have taken a total of 266 premier class wins.

23 – Bezzecchi took Ducati’s first victory at Termas de Rio Hondo and it becomes the 23rd track where Ducati have won. The only two tracks on the current calendar where MotoGP has already raced and the Borgo Panigale factory have not been victorious are now Buriram and Mandalika.

16 – With his 16th podium and first since the German GP last year, Johann Zarco extends his record as the rider with most podiums without a win in the premier class ahead of Colin Edwards, who took 12. Zarco now has two less podiums than Christian Sarron, who is second on the list of French riders with most podiums in the class behind Fabio Quartararo (28).

12 – Bezzecchi becomes the 12th different Ducati rider to win in the premier class.

10 – Bezzecchi became the 10th different maiden winner in the premier class since the opening race of 2020 along with Fabio Quartararo, Brad Binder, Miguel Oliveira, Franco Morbidelli, Joan Mir, Jorge Martin, Francesco Bagnaia, Enea Bastianini and Aleix Espargaro.

8 Bezzecchi is the eighth rider to win in MotoGP having previously won in both Moto2 and Moto3, along with Alex Rins, Viñales, Binder, Oliveira, Martin, Bagnaia and Bastianini.

4 – Franco Morbidelli finished fourth for his best result since he was on the podium at the Spanish GP in 2021.

3 – Alex Marquez finished P3 for his third MotoGP™ podium along with Aragon and France in 2020 when he finished second. He now joins the club of riders on the grid with podiums on two or more different bikes, along with Maverick Viñales, Jack Miller, Zarco and Aleix Espargaro.

2 – This is the second Ducati 1-2-3 lockout of a Grand Prix podium, along with Valencia in 2021.
