SBK: Work in progress: Petrucci on his way to Borgo Panigale to lower the Ducati

Danilo Petrucci is trying for a tailor-made, new Ducati V4. The latest evolution, designed according to Alvaro Bautista’s needs, isn’t entirely suitable for the Barni rider.

After having lengthened it by 15 millimeters between the front and rear, it now needs to be lowered, because Danilo hasn’t yet found the ergonomics he needs. In fact, he feels as if he’s continuously protruding from the bike and about to fall off.

That’s why, after the Mandalika round, Barni and Petrux will be heading to Borgo Panigale to work on the bike, where it’ll be lowered about 15 millimeters. We’ll then see at Assen if this intervention will allow the MotoAmerica vice-champion to find that confidence he’s still lacking.
