Red Bull has unveiled the 2023 livery of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez's RB19 at an event in New York. A city chosen not by chance given that Red Bull has also confirmed the entry of Ford as an engine supplier starting from 2026, taking advantage of the change in the regulation on power units.

The decision by Liberty Media and the FIA to use completely sustainable fuels, as well as a greater use of electricity, contributed to Ford's return to the top automotive championship.

Ford, which has won 13 drivers' championships and 10 constructors' titles, the last one with Michael Schumacher at the wheel of the Benetton, confirms the great interest that Formula 1 is arousing in the States.

Obviously, the supply of engines will regard both Red Bull and Alpha Tauri, with a contract valid until 2030.

Another coup notched up by Stefano Domenicali president and CEO of F1.

"The news today that Ford is coming to Formula 1 from 2026 is great for the sport and we are excited to see them join the incredible automotive partners already in Formula 1. Ford is a global brand with an incredible heritage in racing and the automotive world. Our commitment to be Net Zero Carbon by 2030 and to introduce sustainable fuels in the F1 cars from 2026 is also an important reason for their decision to enter F1.”

"This is the start of a thrilling new chapter in Ford's motorsports story that began when my great-grandfather Henry Ford won a race that helped launch our company,” added Bill Ford, executive chairman, Ford Motor Company - Ford is returning to the pinnacle of the sport, bringing Ford's long tradition of innovation, sustainability and electrification to one of the world's most visible stages."

As the US market is increasingly important, Red Bull has announced a competition among fans for the design of the three liveries that the team will have at the Miami, Austin and Las Vegas Grands Prix.

It is interesting to note that although the existing relationship between Honda and Red Bull will end in 2026, the Japanese manufacturer has also signed up for the cycle that runs from 2026 to 2030, despite not yet having affiliation with a team.

This means that, with the current power unit suppliers, the companies entered are:

Alpine Racing

Audi

Ferrari S.p.A.

Honda Racing Corporation

Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains Ltd.

Red Bull Ford
