Moto2: Forward abandons MV Agusta, Cuzari:

After 5 years of partnership in the Moto2 World Championship, the collaboration between Forward and the motorcycle brand MV Agusta is discontinued.

"Forward Team, after careful consideration, has decided to continue the development project, whose intellectual property is owned by the Italian-Swiss racing team, on its own: MV Agusta's economic demands are too high, compared to just using the brand in racing", declared Giovanni Cuzari.

"I wish the best to MV Agusta, proud to have written, in these seasons, a few small pieces of history together with the Schiranna brand - continued the team owner - The future is upon us and the Forward Team is working to develop the 2023 project with important ambitions and a great desire to return to success".

Forward therefore returns as a manufacturer, joining Kalex and SpeedUp. In 2023 the team will have in addition to Escrig and Ramirez, in the World Championship, but will continue to have a young rider development team that will participate in the FIM Junior GP with two other riders. In addition to SpeedUp, in an attempt to counter Kalex dominance, there will now also be Forward.
