For Marc Marquez, 2023 will be a key year, the one in which he will realize if he can return to the levels everyone is accustomed to. Those before his 2020 crash, when the Spanish champion dominated MotoGP. He himself has repeatedly explained that this winter he needs to see what exactly are the limits of his arm which has been battered by so many operations.

He returned to the subject in an interview with Tele Deporte. “I want to fight for the title - he said - It will be a new challenge, because until 2020 my career was idyllic, a bed of roses. Now I've experienced the other side of the coin with injuries and it hasn't been easy. I’ve prepared myself in the best possible way, to reach the maximum limit and go into battle”.

While on the one hand Marc has been working on his physical condition, Honda has done the same on the bike. The RC213V has had many problems in recent years and a rider alone is not enough to fight for the championship.

"We have a lot of work to do, the Valencia tests didn't go as we would have expected - admitted Marquez - Honda is the only brand that can react to this situation".

There is less than one month to go before we have the first results, when Marc will get on the new bike in the Sepang tests on 10 February.
