Honda will be lining up another bike in the 2023 British Superbike. This year’s winner of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship (British Superstock 1000), as well as one of the best world performers in road races, Davey Todd will race full time next season in the queen class of the overseas championship with a CBR 1000 RR-R for the glorious team Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycles.

In the name of continuity

Davey Todd and the line-up led by Clive Padgett experienced a 2022 season that was above all expectations. Besides the National Superstock 1000 title, they achieved significant results in road races (Southern 100 and North West 200), along with the first career podium for the young British rider at the Tourist Trophy in the Superstock class. A pair that will remain as it is, in view of the transition to the 2023 BSB after the wild card in the 2022 Brands Hatch finale, with two 15th places in three races that weekend.

The return of Padgetts

Davey Todd will also be able to compete on the track with some of his usual road racing opponents, such as Peter Hickman (FHO Racing BMW) and Dean Harrison (Dao Racing Kawasaki), riding a bike he’s already very familiar with, and even more so if he’s assisted by one of the most winning and iconic teams in motorcycling across the Channel (which also included our Luca Scassa in 2012), returning to the BSB after almost ten years: “I'’m happy to continue for another year with the Padgetts team. I felt at home during this season with them,” Todd admitted. “once I won the title in Superstock, going to the Superbike with the same people surrounding me, I think was the right step to take. I’ll have a lot to learn, but I’ll just focus on having fun, like I did this year.”
