At EICMA VMoto unveiled Stash, the top model of this edition of the Rho Fiera Milano show, and to do so it relied on a testimonial of the calibre of Jorge Lorenzo. Many fans flocked to the brand's stand to look closely at the latest model launched by the manufacturer and at the same time catch up again with the Majorcan, present on stage together with Graziano Milone.
With the # 99 we talked about electric and at the same time about this recently concluded MotoGP season, which gave the title to Ducati.
This is an excerpt from the interview, while in the full video that opens this article Jorge also talks about MotoGP, Quartararo and Marquez and above all about a possible new challenge with his old rival Valentino Rossi.
“This Stash is a special model - he said - it's a modern and futuristic bike, especially the dashboard. You could even watch Netflix while on a stopover. As you know, I am very close to the subject of electric. In the end, we have only one world and one life, so we must take care of ourselves and the environment. I consider the electric to be the future of cars and motorcycles ".
Here at EICMA Ducati celebrates the MotoGP title. What do you think of their triumph?
“I'm happy for them, they deserved the title. For some years now Ducati has been the most complete bike, but their riders were perhaps young and inconsistent. Pecco, however, found that consistency that allowed him to achieve success ".
Do you think there is still something of Jorge Lorenzo in this Ducati world champion bike?
"Each rider works for himself with the aim of being strong and competitive. My style is clean and I need a stable and easy bike. I worked in that direction and in the end what I did on the bike helped the other riders indirectly ”.
In 2023 we will see Pecco with Enea. What do you think of this pairing?
“It won't be as easy as with Miller. Jack is a fast rider, but he didn't have the consistency and those last tenths. Maybe he lacked the brilliance that Pecco, Martin, Quartararo and Bastianini have. Enea and Pecco have different styles, but if Ducati is able to manage this rivalry they will be a very strong pairing ”.
Marquez and Quartararo will instead have to play catch-up.
“Fabio had a great championship, but fighting with the Ducati he had to do something magical, going beyond the limit. Marc, on the other hand, seems to have rediscovered the physical aspect. If Honda gives him a little help, he will still be able to fight to win the World Championship. "
