MotoGP: Morbidelli gets Double Long Lap penalty for hindering Bagnaia and Marquez

Franco Morbidelli will have to pay for his distraction in Sepang. The Stewards have, in fact, decided to sanction him with 2 Long Lap Penalties for the Sepang race. During the last minutes of the morning free practice session, the Yamaha rider rode slow on line, as Bagnaia and Morbidelli arrived behind him during their fast lap.

Pecco and Marc couldn’t help but slow down and abort their attempt. According to the Stewards, Morbidelli disturb the two riders and created a possible safety concern, therefore, the Double Long Lap penalty was imposed.
