MotoGP: Michelin tyres tech note from Aragon

A positive second day at Motorland Aragon.

Much better track conditions today, with track temperatures of 24° C in the morning, increasing to 36° C in the afternoon.

The all-time circuit lap record was beaten by three riders during Q2, and we saw good performance from the Hard front/Medium rear combination - which will almost certainly be the unanimous choice for the race.

This combination offers good feeling and stability at the front, with good performance from the rear in terms of grip and consistency. The Soft front was used in the morning session, and in qualifying by less aggressive riders who appreciated the high grip levels at maximum lean angle. The Soft rear worked well in qualifying, because it had good initial grip, but after a couple of laps the loss of potential was quite significant with the track conditions here at Aragon.
