MotoGP, Mir ready for Aragon return: "My fitness will be about 90% this weekend"

Joan was injured in Austria, injuring the bone and ligaments of his right ankle: "I've already tried riding the bike to check the feeling, I'll feel better by Friday"

MotoGP: Mir ready for Aragon return:

Joan Mir will be on his Suzuki at Aragon this weekend. The Majorcan rider had been involved in a big crash in the race at the Red Bull Ring, injuring the talus bone and ligaments in his right ankle. He was thus forced to miss the Misano GP, but after almost 3 weeks of rest, his doctor, Juan Garcías, has given him the green light to try to race.

Of course, Joan will have to receive the OK from the circuit doctors, who will see him tomorrow, but he is optimistic that he can ride without problems.

“I’m very glad to be able to come to Aragón, it hasn’t been easy to miss a race and watch on TV at home! – declared Mir - Finally, I’ve recovered well from the injury to my ankle, and I think my fitness will be at about 90% this weekend, which isn’t bad. I have already been able to try riding a motorbike a little bit to check the feeling, and although I have a bit of pain now, I think by Friday I will feel even better. I can hold my weight on that ankle, but obviously riding a MotoGP bike is a bit different! Anyway, I want to fight and give my best.”
