MotoGP: Ironman Vinales in Austria: more than 110 km between swimming, cycling and running

Maverick Vinales is a real man of steel, or rather iron. The Aprilia rider did not use the free weekend to relax but quickly took part in the Ironman 70.3 'extreme' triathlon test at Zell am See, Austria.

The program included 1.9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling and just over 21 km of running: the total distance, converted into miles, is 70.3, hence the name of the event.

Maverick managed to complete the gruelling test in 5 hours, 4 minutes and 56 seconds, finishing 49th in his category (men between 25 and 29 years old) and 384th in the overall classification with thousands of starters. For the record, the winner was German Frederick Funk in 3 hours, 50 minutes and 24 seconds.

Not bad for Vinales, who cannot be said not to have trained for the Misano GP which awaits him in a few days.
