Moto3: Alberto Surra says goodbye to Valentino Rossi's VR46 Riders Academy

Alberto Surra from the end of the season will no longer be a VR46 Riders Academy rider. The Piedmont native had joined Valentino Rossi's school last September and after just over a year his experience comes to an end.

It was Surra himself who made the announcement on his social media profiles: "after this wonderful period spent with the VR46 Riders Academy at the end of this season I will say goodbye to the group! Thanks a lot to everyone" he wrote.

In a recent interview with GPOne, Alessio 'Uccio' Salucci had explained how difficult it is to integrate very young guys into the Academy at the moment and with 4 riders currently in MotoGP (Bagnaia, Bezzecchi, Marini and Morbidelli) the efforts of the structure are currently addressed towards them. Surra's departure from VR46 seems to be a direct consequence of his reasoning.
