MotoGP, Bastianini: "A useful break to figure out my mistakes, I was vacillating"

Enea ready to tackle Silverstone: "It's a track I like. I want to go back to getting great results." Di Giannantonio: "A crazy track! I feel ready for the second part of the season."

MotoGP: Bastianini:

Enea Bastianini and Fabio Di Giannantonio are ready to tackle Silverstone now that the standard MotoGP’s really long break has ended. Both have been busy in recent weeks and, with the World Ducati Week in Misano, he was able to experience  three really intense days in the company of Ducati fans. It was an opportunity to see what it means to be a Ducati rider in the MotoGP.

Bastaniani reached three victories in the first part of the season, but he has to find way to express himself on high levels on each track, and not only occasionally. The Beast is playing it out in the Ducati Factory with Jorge Martín, and two positive results in Silverstone and the Red Bull Ring will certainly help to earn the coveted role of Pecco Bagnaia's teammate starting in 2023.

"We’re finally starting  again,” Enea said. The break was very useful to reset and focus on the mistakes made in the first part of the season. I really like Silverstone, and its where I absolutely want to get a good result to get back to our levels. We’ve vacillated too much too so far and, in this second part, we want to be more consistent."

Fabio Di Giannantonio has had a good rookie season so far, with noteworthy moments like the pole at Mugello and many performances in crescendo that demonstrate how his apprenticeship in the MotoGP is proceeding in the best way possible.

"Silverstone is a crazy track. I like practically all of them, but this one’s really great. We’ve arrived after a good break that we needed to recharge the batteries between holiday, workouts, and the WDW. We’re certainly ready. The hope is that we’ll start again from where we left off and continue to build for the entire second part of the season."
