In an interview with GP Racing magazine Pecco Bagnaia confessed that he was helped by Valentino Rossi to manage the difficult times.
"When I get angry I take a deep breath and try to get rid of the frustration, Valentino Rossi taught me that," said the rider from Turin.
Nine races from the end of the world championship Bagnaia is fourth in the world championship standings, behind Quartararo, Aleix Espargarò and Johann Zarco, 66 points behind the leader. It’s been a bit of an uphill struggle during which he has scored three victories with Ducati, at Barcelona, Mugello and in the last round of Assen. He will be back on track next week, August 7th, at Silverstone.
In the interview Pecco confessed that he suffered when, still aged 16, he decided to join the VR46 Academy to pursue his dream of arriving in MotoGP.
"I was 16, I didn't have my parents accompanying me here and there. I had to take a taxi to go to the gym or to train at the Ranch. The Academy helped me to grow a lot. Thanks to Valentino I have matured and improved at every level. I understood what was most important to me ".
