Marc Marquez is facing the most difficult moment of his career. His body is tested by his many injuries, and his bike has changed, no longer giving him the confidence he had in the past. With a career so chock full of victories, there are those who wonder why this isn’t enough for him. The champion from Spain answered this question in an interview with DAZN Spain.
“Ten years. Eight happy ones and two unhappy. It's the team of my life,” Marc summarized as he talked about his career with Honda."
Marc won't give up. He ‘s no longer the guy who made his World Championship debut in 2008 and got a toy car signed by Rossi and saw Pedrosa as an example to follow.
"I had his poster in my room,” he recalled. “When I was a child, there were two riders who made a difference.Valentino and Dani. I knew Pedrosa was different. In 2013, after the warm up, I said, ‘mount what Dani is using.’ I started many races with the mentality of keeping up with him. I had to learn from someone, and he taught me a lot."
He also talked about Valentino during the interview.
"I admire him for everything he’s done for motorcycling, not only for his titles. He’s the rider who has thrilled me most,” Marquez said. “On the track, he’s taught a lot to us riders who were growing up. I’m not ashamed of admitting it. You can get along or not get along with a person, but that doesn't take anything away from their merits.”
