Valentino Rossi is not the only (ex) motorcyclist to liven up the Imola weekend, Dani Pedrosa is also at the Italian circuit to drive the Huracan in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. The Spanish rider, KTM’s MotoGP tester, was interviewed by our colleagues at Motorsport.com (video above).

The switch to four wheels for Dani came about almost by chance.

"I was at Misano to do a test for KTM and a friend asked me if I wanted to test with the Lamborghini, it happened and I enjoyed it - he explained - I was scheduled to have done a race in Abu Dhabi, but it was cancelled, so we thought about doing 3 to get more carried away. I like learning new things, I know racing but it's totally different here, I'm having fun. Even if I look even more in the mirrors than in front - he joked - There are so many things to learn ”.

Although he will be behind the wheel this weekend, Pedrosa will certainly follow the Argentine GP, hoping that KTM will repeat the results of Qatar and Mandalika.

“They were two good races with Binder and Oliveira, they rode very well – was his comment - But we have to wait, the championship still has to find its balance. Other top riders made a mistake, everything still needs to sort itself out, but it's better to start well than to recover ”.

Dani will be driving the Lamborghini, as well as at Imola, also in rounds at Misano and Portimao. Will there be a wild card in MotoGP too?

"I don't know, we haven't talked about it yet," he replied.
