Today was similar to yesterday with mixed conditions in the morning, due to rain before the first session, and dry in the afternoon.
Track temperatures were 32 degrees C in the morning and 44 degrees in the afternoon.

Following yesterday's information that a few tyres could be race-able, the objective of the day for the teams was to put as many laps as possible on the solutions that seemed the most suitable for the race.  The 3 fronts and 2 rears were the potential candidates.

The Medium front worked well in late morning, and also during the afternoon too.  The support and levels of grip are there, but on the other hand the more aggressive riders noticed a drop in potential with too much movement after a few runs.
The Hard front (type 1) was appreciated by some teams because this solution provided even more support.
The Hard (type 2) was tested by several riders, and some found it an advantage with better stability and agility. However, others were not so keen on it.
The outcome is that all 3  front solutions can be used for the race.

The Soft rear gave good grip and fast warm-up, and as a result was very effective in qualifying - giving the same lap times as in the tests. It also showed acceptable consistency on better set-up and less aggressive bikes.
The Medium rear offered more stability, with good grip and better consistency over time.

The appearance of all front and rear tires when worn, was good.
