MotoGP: Razali on Rossi:

Yesterday on Prime Video, Amazon's streaming platform, the first season of the MotoGP Unlimited docuseries was released, dedicated to the premier class of the world championship. A story in 8 episodes of the 2021 season, the one marked by Fabio Quartararo’s title and Valentino Rossi's retirement from racing.

The series unfolds interspersed with video images of the races, tasty behind-the-scenes, and interviews with riders and professionals.

Sometimes there are some never-before-seen anecdotes, like the one between Razlan Razali and Valentino Rossi. Destiny had it that the latter raced his final year in MotoGP in the former’s Petronas team, but the first contact between the two was not the best.

The Malaysian manager said: “I was a big, very big fan of him. In 2005 he came to Malaysia for the winter tests, I asked him to autograph me a book and he passed me by without saying anything, he didn't even think twice. So I thought: you come to my country and do this to me? You will never win a championship again ”.

In truth, the curse was not very successful, because not only did the Doctor win the title that year, but he did so again in 2008 and 2009.

In any case, the paths of the two then crossed again fifteen years later. “From that moment on I had lost interest in him - he continued - until we were offered the chance to have him as a rider. That’s life, karma. I had never told him that ".
