Danilo Petrucci's greeting on Instagram before leaving for the Dakar.

"It has been a month and half on the roller coaster, from my last MotoGP race in Valencia till today. A season and a career in MotoGP, preparation for the Dakar, a broken talus and a positive Covid test. Everything seems to be over but as always I was able to jump on the train. I want to say thanks to all my family, friends, people close to me and all the ktm_official Tomorrow I will start my first dakarrally so HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY AND STAY HAPPY!"
