MotoGP, Fabrizio Cecchini leaves Aprilia: "I need a reset, like a PC"

With 30 years in the World championship paddock, the chief technician has decided to take a break: "I'm waiting for a proposal that intrigues me."

MotoGP: Fabrizio Cecchini leaves Aprilia:

After more than 30 years of activity in the paddock, having covered every possible technical role on a World Championship team, and with various important triumphs, Fabrizio Cecchini will be taking a break at the end of December, when his contract expires.

I need to reset, like you do with computers. I want to turn it off and on again to start over with new initiatives, always within the paddock. I have nothing new before me, and that’s why I want to wait for the proposal that intrigues me to arrive,” Fabrizio –  a MotoGP veteran, as well as one of the most popular technicians in the paddock and the backbone of the Gresini team for many years – explained.

"I’m going to do like soccer coaches do ... I’m look for new stimuli, and I thank all those (and there are many) who, up until now, have worked with me in building the greatest teams," he concluded.
